Hi Jay,

Just to let you know and say thank you. With your help (breathing room with the bailiffs and I was able to read all the legislation on your site and the .gov site) I have been able to get the council to scrap the liability order and cover all the court fees, bailiffs fees, as well as waiving all liability (due to the property being empty for the liability period) and refunding me every penny I paid them. If I hadn't found your service I feel sure I would have paid the bailiff fees and been £700 down in total. Your consultation fee was worth every penny. Many Thanks.

Ok thank you so much, do you need to see the texts I sent Kinga Cybis on 4th Oct telling her of Mrs (name withheld)'s vulnerability? If so I can forward them on my phone by text as I don't have a smart phone.. Have just sent them all copy of Frimley letter but could not attach it so sent it separately. Hope that's ok.. Thank you Jason for your help... Clamp just off and they are bricking it because they ignored vulnerability notice. Another bailiff came to remove it, she was lovely I have to say.. She was appalled at what had happened and said they bailiffs involved could be sacked as they did so many things wrong.. And she said Christine could claim for damages.. Cannot thank you enough..

Please forgive the unsolicited email, however I think we spoke many months ago on the bailiff forum and I did come to you for some advice in my darkest hours.

I had my final hearing of my case on Friday and the Judge ruled in my favour. My success was thanks in no small part to the assistance and detailed legal information you provided publicly on your website and on the BH forums.

I know there are lots of sock puppet accounts from bailiffs trying to suggest that the law you use is wrong and it won’t succeed in court - and for a moment, they had me convinced. This outcome proves those detractors to be wrong.

Despite not having engaged you for my own case, I do want to support your work to stop bailiffs from taking advantage of the vulnerable and the innocent. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Previous Cases

21 November 2018. Bailiffs took control of a Porsche and replaced its engine before a court ordered its return to the rightful owner.

15 March 2019. An accountant received more than £50,000 in damages for being involuntarily featured on Channel 5's television programme Can't Pay We'll Take It Away.

15 February 2020. The car belonging to a doctor was removed by a bailiff despite displaying a Health Emergency badge. Subsequently, the bailiff drove the vehicle, with his girlfriend in the front passenger seat, through a speed camera while driving it for his personal use.

11 May 2020. A victim who was initially accused of tampering with controlled goods, was acquitted after removing an unlawful wheel clamp from his vehicle.

16 May 2020. A single mother successfully obtains damages after the police threatened to handcuff her for declining to open the door to bailiffs.

19 August 2020. A bailiff was captured on the store's CCTV unlawfully taking money from the cash register while executing a High Court Writ of Control for an outstanding bill owed by a former tenant.

11 November 2020. A car rental company was awarded £10,000 after a bailiff was caught using a forklift to remove their vehicle.

17 September 2021. The police unknowingly aided a bailiff in a £51,000 jewellery theft while enforcing a High Court Writ of Control that wasn't owed by the victim. The bailiff lacked authority to be on the premises and presented the police officers with a counterfeit High Court writ of control bearing a County Court seal.

4 November 2021. A plumber was awarded compensation for 90 days of lost earnings after a bailiff towed his exempt van while he was working on a job.

16 December 2021. Four police officers forcefully restrain a London Black cab driver on duty at a taxi rank while bailiffs towed his cab to enforce a traffic debt warrant, which displayed a typographical error in the enforcement address. Legal representatives for both the police and the taxi driver are currently in negotiations.

22 March 2022. My client was awarded £13,727 in damages after a police officer broke my client's car window, forcibly removed him from the vehicle, and pinned him to the ground at the behest of a bailiff holding an invalid warrant of control and attending the incorrect address.

24 May 2022. Victory for vulnerable people. On 4th November 2021, my client, who is afflicted by anxiety, had his Audi A5 seized by bailiffs without being given sufficient time to seek advice. Following this, my client pursued a detailed assessment, resulting in Master Brown disallowing all fees and charges imposed by the bailiff.
